7–18-year-olds and their lives with films, series, and social media

If one wants to learn more about the media use of children and young people, there are many interesting insights in a new report with qualitative research conducted by Will & Agency for The Danish Film Institute.

As The Danish Film Institute writes, the reportClose-up: A study of 7–18-year-olds and their lives with films, series, and social media is intended to serve as a resource for filmmakers to create content and for educators and policymakers to stimulate content that resonates with younger generations.

Even though the 122 participants in the survey are Danish and the focus is on the Danish film and television, there ought to be points of relevance for many other national contexts. If nothing else, take a look at the ten key findings.
