2nd Rock Demers Award
The Rock Demers Award, a prestigious children’s film award on the North-American continent, was launched last year with the purpose to encourage and inspire, by recognising individuals and institutions that have distinguished themselves through their contribution to children’s cinema. At the Montreal Int’l Children’s Film Festival (FIFEM), the award was handed out to Canadian distributor Chantale Pagé.

Curate-It
Aya Films’ recently developed training tool Curate-It makes information about film curation accessible in a digital space. Curate-It provides participants with all they need to know for implementing their own screening event. It is structured as an eight-step programme to teach participants about film theory, film curation and the practical and logistical elements needed to create film events.

Workshop Warehouse – ECFA goes big in 2023
After biding time in the pandemic fridge, the Workshop Warehouse event should be ECFA’s piece de resistance in 2023. The event, organised in cooperation with Cinema Ritrovato, will take place from 30 June – 2 July in Bologna. The Workshop Warehouse will host 10 workshops and around 50 active participants.
