Children are great explorers, using all their senses when embarking on an adventure, as observers, researchers and creators, all at the same time. This understanding is at the basis of all Taartrovers’ activities. For this Dutch organisation films are the foundation of their work, while at the same time connecting with visual arts, nature, food, dance, music and storytelling. Taartrovers creates inspiring artistic settings in which children can express feelings and stories. Even in turbulent times.
Three European features will compete in the Feature Films for Children section at the 9th edition of Ojo de Pescado IFF, the oldest festival of its kind in Chile, with online screenings from August 29th – September 6th, and with a jury consisting of children and teens only.

Subsequent to this year’s traditional festival edition (scheduled from 6-12th November), the Czech Juniorfest will launch the Juniorfest Online pilot project, in cooperation with the Dafilm platform.
In the city of Bologna, children’s cinema is always on the programme, year round. Every weekend the Cineteca di Bologna’s educational department Schermi e Lavagne is dedicating a special programme to the young audience in the Cinema Lumière. But now that cinemas have been closed since March, new opportunities had to be created.
