Synopsis:
At last the holidays are here! Regina lives with her mother in Reykjavik; she’d love to join all her school chums who are going to summer camp but her mother can’t afford to send her there. Bored to tears, Regina mopes around the house, day after day, until she suddenly realises that she is an extraordinarily talented singer, capable of enchanting – quite literally – anyone to whom she sings. Regina’s friend Peter gives her a hand making the lyrics to her songs rhyme – which serves to increase their effect.

Suddenly, Regina has an idea: if only her mother and Peter’s father were to get married, then she and Peter would be brother and sister. And since Peter’s dad owns a grocers’ store, it wouldn’t be a bad match for her mother financially either . . .

Regina and Peter join forces and, with a bit of help from Regina’s magical powers, they set about trying to pair their off respective parents. But then, all of a sudden, a jewel thief appears on the scene who immediately puts a spanner in the works. The thief tries to worm his way into Regina’s affections – but only so that he can steal a valuable necklace from a rich old man living in the old people’s home where she works. All at once, Regina and Peter find themselves at the beginning of an unforgettable adventure . . . (Kinderfilmfest Berlin 2002)
