Synopsis:
Nina is a young girl that doesn’t really know how communicate with other children her age. One day she forms a new friendship in the park with Ellie. But when Nina’s insecurities around her new friendship start growing, her fears of losing her friend quickly overwhelm her and have things getting out of hand.
Comments:
I started making this short film based on my own experiences as a child on the autism spectrum, children on the spectrum often have difficulty with communicating and making friendships with their peers not on the spectrum. This miscommunication often led me to create problems in my own head that weren’t actually there, and had me setting up my friendships to fail. Learning to communicate and finding very accepting friends were important parts of my life that i hope to express in this shortfilm. (Neyrouz Jemour)
