German film INVISIBLE SUE decides to premiere at Cinekid

INVISIBLE SUE, a new title in the German ‘Besonderes Kinderfilm’ support programme, will have its world premiere at the upcoming Cinekid festival. Producer Ostlicht Filmproduktion decided not to wait for the Berlinale but to launch the film abroad, in the Netherlands.

Producer Marcel Lenz (Ostlicht Filmproduktion): “Cinekid is not only the world’s largest children´s media festival, for us Cinekid also perfectly combines audience, industry and passion for children’s films. INVISIBLE SUE has a strong message for its audience not to hide because of any special gift. It’s a call to action to show yourself and be visible, as our world is only as good as the variety that humans can demonstrate. To produce the first German superhero film for children is as risky as it is fantastic, and Cinekid gives INVISIBLE SUE the opportunity to prove its power in a very colourful surrounding.

Sue (12), the main character in Markus Dietrich’s feature, is a lone wolf. Due to a potion invented by her mother, she is suddenly able to become invisible. But when mum is kidnapped, Sue will need the help of her new friends Tobi and App to rescue her mother and hunt down the criminals.
