Year after year, the Brussels Filem’on festival continues building on its assets: stubborn programming and an increasing interest from and for the industry. As is proven by this year’s industry programme, that includes several inspiring events.
Masterclass ‘Coaching Child Actors’: Always wanted to know how to work with child actors? How to cast children for your film project? How to make your set as child-friendly as possible? In this session casting directors and young actors will provide insight into casting, training and supervising on set (26 October).
The women behind the camera – Female DoP’s speaking: To break the male gaze, this project gives the floor to female DoP’s to speak about their profession and the challenges involved. With Mira Forney and Simona Weisslechner, director and DoP of SHE-HERO (3 November).
What do teens want?!: Teens come together to discuss the future of young audience cinema, and engage in talks with film professionals, such as Tine Klint (Level K, Denmark), Els Kuiper (NPO, the Netherlands) and Adeline Margueron (Le Parc Distribution, Belgium).
